About Us

Agia Skepi is a boutique family farm in the Chittering Valley, less than an hour north of Perth. A small trip that is definitely worth taking, where visitors experience the beauty of the roads leading to the Valley and create experiences that stay with them forever.

The original beauty of the undulating landscape of the farm is augmented by the vineyards as well as the olive and citrus groves that thrive in the valley amongst the native bush hills. To these, the various fruit trees we have planted, such as figs, avocados, stonefruit and many others, add colour and taste that elevates the farm to an amazing paradise of ethereal peace and unprecedented beauty.

The farm is managed on the basis of our spray-free, organic philosophy and biodynamic approaches that we apply in all aspects of our farming life. The rich red clay soil and groundwater reservoirs provide for a perfect opportunity to do this. Everything we grow is in its purest, cleanest form as we use no pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals. Our guineafowl free range within the farm, making sure the pests are controlled and the fruit remains untouched.

But it is not only our fruit that is exquisite and organic. Our bees also greatly benefit from our chemical-free farming approaches, resulting in the production of a unique-flavoured, thick and creamy honey that we harvest every few months and offer in its raw, unfiltered form. It’s so good that we simply can’t keep up with the demand!

Similarly, our extra virgin olive oil is a boutique product that we produce every year and offer in its cold-pressed form. With yields that reach an amazing 22%, our olive groves comprise well established trees of seven olive varieties that rely solely on rainwater and our highly nutritious soil. We harvest our olives 3-4 times a year between April and June, and cold-press all the varieties together, producing a unique, mildly fruity extra virgin olive oil that is very sought after. Most of it is sold before it’s even harvested!

Wine making is not our priority, however locals purchase our rare Barbera grapes and produce an amazing organic wine, which can be bought locally. We also offer numerous varieties of table grapes as a seasonal product.

One of the main developments at Agia Skepi has been the keeping and breeding of poultry. Peter is an engineer and establishes the infrastructure, and Foteini is a biologist with a passion for breeding quality poultry. We not only cultivate a deep love and appreciation for all our birds, including the chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and guineafowl, but we also endeavour to breed them to standard, continually improve our lines, and offer high quality, healthy birds that will be the perfect companions and pets for your family and will provide you with a plentiful of eggs in various colours and shades. Indeed, we love our rainbow egg layers and the colourful egg baskets they bless us with!

In addition to our rainbow layers, which are special crosses that lay pink, olive, blue, mauve, purple, grey and spearmint eggs, the chicken breeds we keep, all in separate purebred pens, include: the beautiful Australorp, which we breed in all four recognised colours (black, white, splash and blue), the Sussex, the Araucana, the Marans, the Leghorn, the Brahma, the Hamburg, the Wyandotte, the Cream Legbar, the Welsummer and the Plymouth Rock. Our ducks include the British Khaki Campbell and the American Cayuga breeds, both with stunning khaki and black/green plumage, respectively. We also breed various colours of domesticated turkeys, including the rarest blue (slate), and of guineafowl, including the more common pearl gray as well as the red-eyed and peach and cinnamon colours. Finally, the farm is decorated by geese, the fluffy Sebastopol and the beautiful Pilgrim, which both add to the beauty of the place and the majestic feeling generated in the visitor’s heart.

Since the beginning of our farming life, we have had with us our loyal companions: our beloved border collies! More recently, we have commenced our breeding program as a registered RPBA breeder, with focus on calm-natured border collies, such as the ones we own. Ginger has had her first litter of 10 in 2026, our Bright Litter, with all puppies being various shades of the lovely and rare EE red and white colour variation. Our amazing stud Oliver is also a gorgeous EE red and white, similar to Ginger, though a darker golden shade. Both Oliver and Ginger are the calmest border collies you have ever met, and so were their puppies from their first litter. Highly intelligent and committed to our family, they are our loyal canine companions that come with us in every little or bigger job we do at the farm. We are also raising Gracie, a lovely red sable girl, and Joy, a stunning tri blue girl, both planned to have their first litters with our Oliver in 2028.

As a family of six, we thoroughly enjoy every minute of our farm life and always work towards improving both the farm and the practices we use. We cherish the interaction with the public and open our gates either by appointment or on certain Saturday mornings of the month. We are the primary users of our products, which include the extra virgin olive oil, honey, marinated olives, citrus and other seasonal fruit, hatching eggs, chicks and pullets, and we are happy to share the produce with you all. We express post hatching eggs every week around Australia and take the outmost care in both ensuring the high quality and fertility of our eggs and packaging the eggs as safely as possible. We value each and every one of you and strive to offer what we have in a spirit of dedication, appreciation and love for God’s gifts, and with commitment to quality.

Before you purchase fertile hatching eggs from us, either via the postage or collected, we strongly encourage you to read our Policies here. Orders can be made online for eggs, however we do not ship live birds. Chicks, ducklings, turkey poults, goslings and guineafowl keets can only be purchased directly from the farm either by appointment or on our open days. We can be contacted here.

With love,

Agia Skepi Team
